What is a condominium?
Individual units in a building or development in which owners hold title to the interior space while common areas such as parking lots, community rooms and recreational areas are owned by all the residents. Ownership usually includes a non-exclusive interest in certain "common properties" controlled by the condominium management. Condominium management is usually made up of a board of unit owners who see to the day to day operation of the complex (lawn maintenance, snow removal, etc).

A townhouse is a dwelling that seems to combine the best amenities of a single-family home and a true condominium. Many people are a bit confused about exactly what defines a dwelling as a townhouse, and some of the lines are somewhat blurred, but the true explanation of a townhouse is simple: a townhouse is a home that is attached to adjacent houses, which sits upon land that you own.
